Former porn agent Badass Frank releases a new excerpt from his upcoming book, Pimpin Ain’t Easy.
Chapter 5 – PIMPS UP
There is no one who’s existence is more indicative of what’s wrong with the adult industry than the porn agent. They are, to a large extent, the most cold-hearted, ruthless, evil beings on the planet. All of them would sell their own mother into the sex business for about the cost of their monthly cell phone bill. It’s profitable work if you can stomach it.
Wait, didn’t I used to be a porn agent? Um, well, uh, I was totally different. Seriously. (Note: Author denies that he is now, or has ever been, in denial.)
Let’s get this straight, so there’s no confusion. An agent or manager in the adult industry serves one purpose, and that’s to find women, arrange for them to perform sexual acts on camera, and get paid for it. They sell people. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not some dark alley, clandestine situation, where people deal secretly in sex slavery. It’s a perfectly legal business (on the surface) that can be highly profitable if run the correct way. If you have no regard for the emotional or physical health and well being of the girls you represent, you are on your way to porn agent success.
