RAY: How old are you?
ASHLYN RAE: I am 18 years old.
RAY: Where are you from?
ASHLYN: Laguna Beach, California. Originally from Prescott, Arizona.

If my friends are somehow able to get me to a club or the beach, I’ll always have fun. But it’s actually getting me there that’s the challenge. I always have so much stuff to do — Or want to do. I have to buy towels for my apartment! [Laughs] Doing things like that is hard because all my friends are in college and lazy.
RAY: Are your parents still together?
ASHLYN: My mom and step-dad live here in California. My father lives in Arizona. I still talk to him… A little bit. We always end-up fighting on the phone because he always brings up something stupid.
RAY: Such as?
ASHLYN: Just stuff about the divorce. You know — kids always get in the middle.
RAY: How long ago did they divorce?
ASHLYN: They started separating in 2005. We took a family cruise over Thanksgiving that year and they were separated then. It was really fun, let me tell you. I should videotape my life and have a reality show.
RAY: Do you like to travel?
ASHLYN: I love to travel! I would love to go on a cruise in the Caribbean. Or travel to Paris. I’d like to see the world. This is why I need to find a rich guy. [Laughs] I could easily travel because I don’t have a boyfriend or kids tying me down.
RAY: No boyfriend?
ASHLYN: Nope! Never. I’ve never had a boyfriend… With the exception of the one I had for three weeks. It was intense! We were in love. [Laughs] We said “I love you” the first week. After the third week, we said our goodbyes…
RAY: A whirlwind romance.
ASHLYN: I’m just messing with you. But it really was only three weeks.
RAY: Do you think you could maintain a genuine romantic relationship while doing porn?
ASHLYN: I don’t think so. Every time I start to like a guy, after a few weeks I start to get annoyed with him. Everything gets annoying. I’d rather be single. I need my free time. I think it’s because I’ve been single for 18 years. It’s hard to make that transition into having a boyfriend.
