Now while I completely understand why contract girls shouldn’t escort, as far as the other girls in porn I don’t blame them one bit. It’s safer because they use condoms and not AIM as a contraceptive, they make more money for it and they don’t have to wait for some former gay film star/ ward of the California penal system to get his dick hard via Viagra and then after it does get hard they don’t have to endure some fucking moron trying to choke them out or similar such misogynistic behaviour.

To answer your question which one is more responsible is not in any way shape or form what my point of the editorial here I’ll put in in words that us idiots would say if we were all as smart as you. MY POINT WAS TO MAKE A DECISION porn or personals, DON’T DO BOTH.

Christian blogs: I have explained why in fact most girls in the business escort already. If you go back about ten years, the adult industry landscape was very different. Feature porn ruled the world, and there were only about 50-100 porn girls that worked at all. Then the gonzo companies started to rapidly gain in popularity. This ushered in the era of the young girls who would do anything (anal, interracial, double penetration, etc.) and the rise of companies like Evil Angel, Red Light District, Anabolic/Diabolic, Zero Tolerance, New Sensations, etc. During this period, the landscape of the porn agent changed as well. Jim South and World Modeling was the only game in town for so long. Then as the gonzo companies needed newer, fresher girls, new agencies starting popping up. LA Direct Models, Spiegler Girls, and Exotic Star Models were started. Then about two or three years ago, another mini-revolution began, the rise of the internet companies. They really rose quickly, and now there are 5 almost monolithic internet companies (Naughty America, IC Porn, Bang Bros/Reality Kings, Pistol Whip Media, and Brazzers), who now dominate the total number of daily bookings for every agency.

Now, you see a huge increase in the number of agents and the number of girls repped by those agencies. This is simply because the 5 previously mentioned internet companies each have at least 15 websites that they need to update each week. Thats a lot of updates! You aren’t going to increase sales shooting the same girls over and over for each site (unless you are Shyla Stylez, Carmella Bing, Gianna Michaels, or Eva Angelina). So these companies are DESPERATE for new girls to shoot each week. The agents are smart, they realize that any girl with a vagina that they throw up on their site will make them a minimum of 1000 dollars just from the internet companies alone (all agencies charge companies a 100 dollar booking fee per scene, plus they get 10-15 percent of each 900 scene rate from the girl). Add to this the fact that Myspace has made finding new girls so much easier, and the fact that porn has gained acceptance throughout the US, and you now have a HUGE glut of girls in this business. Just look at the numbers, 4 years ago, you had World Modeling with 40 girls, LA Direct had 90 girls, Spiegler had 20, Exotic Star had 30 or so. Now you have LA Direct with 120, Gold Star with 110, Lisa Ann with 100, Foxxx with 60, Exotic Star with 40, Spiegler still has his 20, even horse-faced Shy Love has 40.

So now that you have this giant surplus of girls in the business, you have to remember that once these girls enter the business, they aren’t leaving to get a 9-5 normal job anytime soon. So when the money from doing scenes goes away (a girl’s shelf life has really gone from 6 months to about 3 months now) she has to figure out new streams of revenue for herself. Some girls dance a few nights a week at strip clubs, some feature dance, some start their own websites, and the overwhelming majority turn to escorting.

So that’s the reason why the girls escort, not Mike South’s ridiculously simple and wrong statement.

Dick Chibbles writes: This year has been a hard year for a lot of us. There has been a number of companies that have folded and a number of other companies that just haven’t been shooting as much. So obviously there is a lot of us that haven’t been working as much as we like. Yes it’s unfortunate and yes a lot of us are living on a smaller budget from time to time. However, there are too many girls in this industry living beyond their needs. So far as to the point that they feel to make up for it by doing personals.

This makes me utterly sick to my stomach.

I was hanging with some industry friends of mine during AVN’s and running into people that I’ve worked with over the years, you know the usual party that goes on. Over the course of the week I must have had about 10-15 girls that I know and some that I’ve worked with come up and ask me if I knew anyone that was doing any shoots in Vegas. I knew a few people however they were already had all their shoots booked. To my surprise the phrase immediately after was “I’m doing personals.” Don’t worry girls i won’t name names here. but you definitely know who you are.

I guess it’s gotten to a point that some of the talent in this industry don’t really give a shit about being responsible and keeping themselves safe to do their part to keep our industry as safe as possible. I find it extremely unfortunate that these girls find it perfectly okay to hook themselves out and then work with us the next day on no condom shoots, not caring about contracting something and passing it along to the rest of us in our industry. This is our industry in which the majority of us try to keep it safe. These girls are basically nothing more than gremlins in the gears of porn. I do understand about cutting back on spending when you’re not busy and even picking up a part time job somewhere every now and then. But prostituting yourself out, placing the rest of us in harms way is just appalling.

Shockingly, some of the girls were not just new and didn’t know any better some were known contract big names stars. Please step out of the business now before you bring something in that we can’t get rid of. I spoke to a few people about this and a couple of them stated that we’re on a verge of someone in this industry contracting the HIV due to a lot of the people not being responsible when it comes to civilian sex. Me personally, my wife and I enjoy a girlfriend, but we would rather wait a couple of days and have her tested as well. Those are our rules. Yes it’s true you have a greater chance of contracting something from someone you meet in a bar than you do on a porn set. Yes most of us are much more educated in STD’s and we’re all tested. But some seem to think that getting a needle in your arm and pissing in a cup once a month makes you immune to all. It’s a workplace risk that we all take.

There is a ton of trust in this business. The trust that is between the models performing together that both are indeed clean and take the precautionary measures to keep themselves that way. By hooking yourself out you not only put yourself at risk, but you’re putting the entire industry at risk too. Grow the fuck up and make a decision. Be a PORN STAR or be a PROSTITUTE. Period. No in-betweens. If you want to be a working girl for a month, then be a working girl for a month. Then before you do any shoots in the adult industry, get tested and re-enter the industry. DON’T DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. Take responsibility for your own actions. If it was up to me, I would have mandatory HIV/STD testing from every human being on the same day every month. That would indeed put a HUGE dent in the spreading of disease in not just our world but the whole world.
